Our Firm’s Philosophy

Our basic firm philosophy is to attempt to quickly analyze the issues pertaining to liability. If liability rests with our client, the goal is to resolve the matter in a prompt and efficient matter, where possible, and without incurring unnecessary litigation fees and expenses. Litigating a file for years, generating large legal fees, only to suggest settlement on the eve of trial does not serve the best interests of our clients or the insurance companies who retain our services.

While many cases have settlement value, we are prepared to take any case to trial when, in our judgment, there is no liability and we strongly believe a defense verdict can be obtained, or when the amounts sought exceed our estimation of case value. Cases should never be settled due to an attorney’s lack of desire or preparation to try the case. The decision to settle or proceed to trial is one that should always be made jointly by the insured, the insurer and the attorney. It is our opinion and philosophy that recommendations of liability and case value should be provided early in the litigation and updated frequently, enabling efficient and timely resolutions.
