Monteia Mundy Owenby was born in Huntington, West Virginia before moving to Lexington, Kentucky when she was 5 years old. After obtaining a Double Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest University in the fields of Political Science and Communication, Monteia attended law school at Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Prior to practicing law, Monteia served as Chapter Operations Officer for USA Cares, a national non-profit organization dedicated to assisting military families in need. Monteia initially practiced in the areas of real estate and creditors’ rights. Currently, she primarily practices workers’ compensation, insurance defense, and civil litigation.
